HelloHello!

I'm a realist, and a gamer. The two have not gotten along very well.

The realist in me is very particular on game realism. The less immersion breaking the better. I have completely given up on games because of light passing through walls,or grass showing through floors. How about building games that are very picky in block or wall placement. Not being able to put a light and a chair up against the same wall.

It's things like that which erk me when I pay money for something I actually believe might exist when I am told it will eventually be fixed in said game. Removing texture pop-in is big thing that I have yet seen to be implemented. Unreal Engine 5 is capable of doing away with LOD's so hopefully now that it's a thing, more engines will do the same.

Anyways, not fond of pvp but Co-Op is alright as long as I get along with my teammate(s). Lets call them teamfriends, cause I don't want to get anybody's hopes up;)

In times of frustration, I stick to games like Starbound. Where nothing is expected visually, cause its similar to the style of game I played as a kid eg. Super Metroid, Super Mario 3, Crash Bandicoot, Echo the Dolphin, Battle Axe. The games that weren't trying to be anything other than things to keep you entertained, and not a mirror of life.

We should all remember that life exists outside of games, but when we are in, it's because we need a break from reality. So stop reminding us that our imagination doesn't actually exist, and let us pretend that we are greater than we might sometimes feel.

So that is me in a nutshell. I'm looking for like-minded gamers, preferably ones who can put up with my way of thinking:P :steamhappy:
