Note: In order to avoid spoiling the game, I will not go into great detail in this review.

Although I was initially wary of buying the Stanley Parable, as I did not enjoy the demo, but in the end the purchase was worth it. If you enjoy the humour of Portal, and don't mind that the gameplay is like a first person choose your own adventure book, then I recommend this game for you.

The game is very entertaining, but not without fault. In order to complete the game 100%, you will most certainly need to use a walkthrough, for otherwise it would be very, very long. I felt that the amount of time it takes to complete the main parts of the game is not at all proportional to the amount of time it would take to discover these secrets. Also, even though I bought this game on sale, I still spent more dollars then hours playing the game.

If you enjoy British humour, and do not need action and guns to enjoy a game, then I would recommend picking this game up when it's on sale.

Note: I believe there is also a free alpha source mod of this game, but I have not played it.
