Deep, lore-rich, intriguing. The initial "goal" of the game is basically the tutorial. If you get sucked in, you might fill a notebook with notes from clues and riddles.

Game seems a bit of a mix between genres but it seems like it turned out fine to me. There are occasionally uncertainties of what you're focusing and seemingly interactable entities not being targetable because they use the same asset (e.g. a cup of tea that is normally lootable is not lootable in some instances) and other minor polish that is to be expected from an indie game.
Host to a few powerful themes like grief and regret. You're playing a character that is flawed in an aggressively human way. The game keeps it real and the ending to the first act might not be what you were hoping for.
In any case, I enjoyed my hours played and you will probably too.

Didn't know what to expect. But I had expectations like being able to make decisions and being given the information needed to make decisions.

The game poses more as an incremental game than an idle game because the spacing between necessary actions is often quite inconvenient and not "idle" imo. Though for an inceremental game, the tools to measure your success are limited. It's often not easy to determine what your next proper investment should be as you don't have any other options than to guesstimate the calculations. And if it's wrong, you have to remember not to make the same mistake next run. For some of these problems, there are ingame unlocks you can either pay for or grind.

Ultimately not something for you if you don't want to babysit it for weeks.

Open world 2d space sim with interesting combat and economy.

Build spaceships, adapt, earn more resources, adapt and keep going until... Whatever, really, there's no end. Well maybe the maximum size limit. And then there are mods. Really diverse experience you can play out and enjoy various different fantasies.

Since writing my review I've enjoyed another couple hours of gameplay. Game that keeps on giving. W dev

A series of brain teasers and learning how to cheese the game with the weirdest mechanics. May require teamwork.

If you liked Motherload, you might like this one. Though here you don't have to come up for fuel, you instead have to defend your dome from ~~the natives~~ evil aliens.

There's a sort of meta progression outside of runs that makes you want to play again with new gadgets and weapons. You can also try to get really good at some of the skill based elements. Most weapons reward being good with it and only (if anything) the laser is a bit boring but that's prob because I've played with it the most.

The random element that you have from not knowing what's on the map, what gadgets you find, and even how the cave is laid out may force you to go into different upgrade paths, so you can't always "one trick pony" the level.

Fantastic game that illustrates climate change, its consequences and what we can do about it.

While quite challenging, through trying different strategies and noticing how the game evolves each time based on your choices, you can ultimately succeed. Alternatively, how bad can you let things get while still remaining in power?

Fun little game. Not too challenging after you find synergies and such. Would love to see the game expanded, it is over too soon ;-;
It has good replay value if you want to grab all the achievements and see all the monsters.
