Player known as cids, hacked my name on MW2 and i cannot change it, now its cidshook#1, any suggestions ?

Whenever I open MW2 multiplayer, the game crashes within seconds of my arrival on the main menu. I have already verified the integrity of the game files, including those of the base game. I don't know if this had something to do with it, but I was in a server with a hacker prior to this. During a map change, the next map had a blank cover, and the title was a racial slur. Needless to say, I left the server by hitting ESC. However, when this happened, I got booted from the game entirely, not just the match...

when i start the game i just end up back at the desktop. it's not the firewall. so i uninstalled the game and reloaded, that didn't work. Yesterday i uninstalled Steam then reinstalled it, THAT WORKED! but then today it's happening all over again. WTF?
