It’s almost there, but still a long way from actually being good. The mechanics feel like they should be engaging, but the boredom sets in fast. The combat is nearly decent, but the camera makes it a nightmare. If you’re heading down to the third floor of the mine, good luck—you'll be staring at nothing but the ceiling the whole time.

I didnt even notice i already have 200 hours of Dinkum. It felt like a few days, and this is coming from a full time worker and uni student. That's how GOOD this game is.

I wish i had the patience right now to sit and describe why this game is such a good experience, but the list is too long and once im started i wont shut up. But this game is genius. I've been playing it for so long now, it changed a lot in a year, got a lot of updates and i feel like they really listen to the community. Time passes in the right pace, the NPCs are so charismatic, i love the game mechanics (i think one of my favourite mechanics from the start is the licensing mechanic, just makes the multiplayer experience so exciting, every run is unique, and cooperating is rewarded with faster results). Many mechanics in this game work so well in multiplayer but in a way thay you can still enjoy it the same when youre playing by yourself.

The game gives you so much freedom. It tells you you'll find adventures everywhere, and you're free to explore many ways to make income or to plan your town. You get 4 houses to make whatever you want, you can use them as storage, you can rent them or give them to friends in coop. There are many devices in the game that are made to make the game both realistic but also simple, a step to help your creativity go higher (we all love some dirt printer). I played over 200 hours of this game and im still so in awe about the shovel and wheelbarrow mechanic, its so cute. Thats what im talking about, its realistic but its still enjoyable.

The mines are genuinely so much fun, i personally prefer to go with a friend but even alone its still doable and anjoyable. I feel like its a bit expensive to go to the mines, but since youve hit a consistent source of income the mine pass isnt too bad anymore, the keys are the biggest problem for me, specially because i often forget to take them with me lol

The villagers will help you at your farm, interact with each other having full dialogs, they wander around with tools and doing their little tasks. This game is so alive, its the definition of cozy to me. Im not the biggest gamer out there, but this game really caught me.

I feel like they fixed the progression, before it would take ages for you to get a heart with a villager. I also feel like the spawn rate of burried old barrels and such is higher, im finding way more stuff in my newest runs.
