Still one of the best games released that year

Way ahead of it's time with the nemesis system, but not as polished as the sequel.
Generic story with a few interesting twists, cool and punchy Arkham-style combat, pretty satisfying level progression, and some nice collectibles with interesting lore attached to each one.

Achievement hunting was fun, not a chore like other games, as it encourages you to play in a different way / try everything but doesn't get too up it's own ass (other than the Test of the Wild / Ring achievements, but they're pretty easy to get as well).

Pretty good DLCs, one that expands your bestiary and encourages you to play using the new special beasts, and another that gives you different abilities and makes you look at the world through a different lens, and use abilities differently / prioritize different things. Story for both was also generic but still fun.

All in all a pretty enjoyable experience. A bit too easy at times, but it was a load of fun regardless.

Monolith's MF Masterpiece, PLAY IT but DON'T buy it. Sail The Seven Seas for it. Don't give your money to the Husks over at Warner.
