My go-to Nazi killing games have always been from the Wolfenstein series, and it doesn't get more killing Nazis than that. But, damn, did I not expect the more tactical and methodical approach to pumping lead into fascist ♥♥♥♥♥ in this game to be so satisfying.

Sniper Elite 4 is my first real dip into the series and I gotta say the impression I've gotten off the first level alone is insanely good. You're given a lot of freedom in how you chose to take care of every group of Nazi pricks you stumble upon right from the start, partially thanks to the open nature of the map, but you have access to things like mines/TNT/spring mines to set up traps too. Masking your shots with the sound of busted generators or planes flying overhead is super cool. I thought I'd get tired of the kill cam pretty fast, but there's just something satisfying about seeing a bullet explode the fascism out of a Nazi that just never gets old.

The enemies are about as intelligent as a box of rocks and pretty predictable, but considering it's fascists it makes a lot of sense, actually.
