I hate when devs do this because they can't make an AI that has actual tactics, it just relies on you to screw up your micro in order to get kills.

This series gets worse every title - the had the formula right with ROME 1 and other than graphics and a handful of game mechanics none of the later games are an "improvement" it's more like "HAHA we own your fav IP now pay us more money for unfishined schlock since we have zero meaningful competition."

The steady creep of animations and feature bloat has killed this franchise for anyone but caffeinated zoomers who think it is fun to be constantly clicking and never get a chance to actually appreciate the spectacle of battle like in ROME I.
