Life sure is different now

This group is open but I don't expect anyone to join. There was a time in my life when I think Steam really meant something to me. I met a lot of really good people who really helped shape the person I am today... at least the parts of me I like. In a way I miss what it was. I don't think I would ever want to go back that. The past was great... but I think there is no going back to it. It just wouldn't work. I have changed so much as a person over the years and can realize that I appreciate what it was. The memories I have, I will hold on to until it is my time to pass... or I get schizophrenia or alzheimers, either or. I am truly grateful for all those who affected my life, from friends close and far (who I knew well and those who I got just a moment to interact with), the youtubers and pseudo celebs like the Creatures. Despite having a falling out they made me feel like it was ok to have friends even when I was afraid to. To the friends I made along the way after quitting steam because my computer could no longer run games properly. Eventually I made it to a point where I made new friends who cared enough about me to get me back into steam. I am truly grateful for them and all they had done.

Of course some things never change. The closer I get to people the more I feel I need to push myself away. It isn't an easy thing to do and I am sure it hurts others as much as it hurts me. I sometimes wish I had never left, honestly was the slow gaming really that bad?

Regardless I am here now... with a smile on my face as a facade to mask the anguish I feel inside. If there is one thing I can say for sure it is that life never moves in the direction you think it does... for better or for worse. And as always I will remain a ghost amidst the moonlight... fading as the sun comes up... bless all of you I knew... I truly miss the people we were... regardless of who you are now I am proud to have called you my friend.
