Well, the Oscars have come and gone, so I decided to give my personal awards. If you didn't win something, these awards are only slightly more meaningless than an Oscar, so don't sweat it. And if you did win an award, congratulations! I don't have any trophies, so if you really want one, go to your local dollar store and buy one. And now, without further ado:

Film of the Year:
American Sniper
Dirty Harry directing a movie about the deadliest sniper in American history starring Rocket Raccon. 'Nuff said.

Animated Film of the Year:
The LEGO Movie
The journey of Emmet to become a Mast Builder and fulfill the prophecy of the Special is one most of us know, so I won't recapp it. Needless to say, it's a great movie with a good twist, and a Bionicle cameo. So way didn't those idiots in the Academy even give it a nomination?

Game of the Year:
Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor
This was a very well done game, by Monolith Studios, who've already shown time and again with Aliens Vs Predator 2, Tron 2.0, and Gotham City Imposters that they can break the mold and make licensed games that don't suck. Nice job, guys.

Wah Wah Button Award for Biggest Let-Down of the Year:
The Elder Scrolls Online
I love The Elder Scrolls, and I like MMORPGs. However, neither my love nor my like is satisfied by ESO. It manages to feel like a single-player RPG that's trying to be an MMO, and feel like an MMO thats trying to be a single-player RPG. Not to mention the storyline screws up the lore on so many levels, and just feels like a retread of Oblivion. Been there, done that, got the Imperial Dragon Armor. Shameful job, guys.

Professor Fry Award:
The whole "gender is fluid on Gallifrey" thing
This award is named after the professor from Futurama, who famously said "I don't want to live on this planet anymore", so this award is meant for those people, events, and actions that make me say it. The Doctor Who Universe is so big and inventive that show writer Steven Moffat could have come up with some clever explanation as to why the Master was a woman in the Series 8 finale, but he took the cheater's way out. Either that, or he was just trying to be PC. Either way, you dun screwed up, Moffat.

John Williams Award for Best Main Theme:
For Blood, For Glory, For Honor (Jeremy Soule)
Even if I didn't like ESO, that main theme is great.
