a different take on a rally game.

+ extremely straightforward gameplay and overall game mission
+ end results don't matter with career progression, just enjoy yourself
+ driving requires precision, but still keyboard-friendly = easy to learn, hard to master
+ cars behave differently from each other
+ beautiful aesthetics and general ui design (that's why everything is lower-case here)
+ huge number of cars (unlicensed, of course) not seen in other games
+ free roam mode with collectibles, no driving boundaries and no damage
+ dlc not needed to complete the achievements
+ clearly made with love for the sport, tons of funny references

- low drawing distance and object pop-in
- poor anti-aliasing
- pretty resource-heavy for a low poly game

where to start.. the game's a bit overpriced i must say, when you consider the fact that no licensing is present here, which obviously is not an issue in this type of game. you would also think it's super easy on your gpu, but it's not. not an issue if you have a powerful one though. the core gameplay is so incredibly basic, yet genius. a top-down view combined with music is not a regular setup for a rally game. colors are super vibrant with certain weather conditions, it's very visually pleasing to play if you ignore the poor drawing distance (can be somewhat saved with blur enabled). there's even a photo mode, though i haven't tested it yet, but the wallpapers you see on here were apparently made in it, so i guess it can produce good results. all in all, a very enjoyable experience.
