I regret making my character a Soldier, because the sidekicks I actually want to use are also primarily soldiers, which makes me think it would be stupid to have a squad of all fighters...

Initial thoughts on Mass Effect: Pretty average military sci-fi in terms of story, nothing jumping out at me about the plot yet. Above average voice acting. Controls are a bit clumsy and the graphics look a bit fuzzy too me (despite adjusting settings)- not sure if that is something that is a problem or how it is supposed to look. I wish that there were a bit more choices in terms of character type, but Shepard isn't exactly full of personality. I think the strength though is the alien races-- I couldn't tell you the names of them all yet but I think the races are very well developed. I'm not far, though. Just found the recording of the bad guy and about to go back to the council with the evidence.
